One Day by David Nicholls
A cheesy story about friends, Em and Dex, Dex and Em. It looks at them on the same day (July 15) every day for each year for 15 years. Nothing revolutionary but it was a fun, quick read.
The Millionaire Next Door by Thomas J. Stanley & William D. Danko
Dave Ramsey references his book quite a bit and I decided to read it. With this whole full-time job thing I've got going on I've got an income and figured I should start learning what to do with it. Bottom line what I learned is the Millionaire Next Door is probably a 57 year old male who owns his own business, lives frugally, has kids he doesn't given money too (other than education), and has a wife that stays home. The book also had a formula to help you determine what your wealth accumulation should be. It told me I should have somewhere around $92,000. Needless to say I don't think it really was accurate. This book basically told me what I already knew, that to be financially independent you need to live below your means, invest wisely and don't be an idiot with some fun figures and tables thrown in.
P.S. I've joined Good Reads because I LOVE making lists and keeping track of things so I don't forget. It's basically an online bookshelf where you can rate books you've read. Sweeeet.

One Day is a TFA slogan about every child having a quality education.
Also, is Good Reads useful to you? I think I'm a member (since I get random emails), but don't really know how to use it well.
